Make a particular Ham and Cheese Sandwich, akin to a Monte Cristo or the French model of Croque Monsieur

Meals historians consider that the Monte Cristo sandwich is a variation of a French dish known as Croque Monsieur that was initially first served in a Paris cafe. In keeping with oral accounts, the Monte Cristo sandwich is alleged to have been first served in southern California.

Croque Monsieur, the French model has ham, Gruyère cheese, and béchamel sauce. Monte Cristo sandwich incorporates ham and cheese that’s dipped in egg, fried, and topped with powdered sugar.

These sandwiches will be wealthy and never very wholesome. My simple model is best for you [somewhat!!] as a result of I don’t deep-fry them.  I favor the Monte Cristo sandwich. You can also make this sandwich with two layers or three. I make the 2-layer sandwich for my household and served it with a cup of my Asparagus soup. See recipe.
